driving haiku
Driving home at night after a long cooking day, I have found that composing meaningless little haiku really relaxes my brain and helps it make that all-important switch from “Is that pot burning? Must go stir it, and wash those dishes, and is the fridge getting too warm? How’s the chocolate, too soft or too hard? My feet hurt, did I just get an email? Is the pie in the oven done yet?” to “Heya cats! Let’s go to bed.”
Here is my most recent favorite:
foggy night, so dark
i turned my brights off for you
you could have too, pal.
