Marriage is a great institution, but I’m not ready for an institution

Oh, I love this group. Sweet people running a really needed organization dedicated to protecting people who don’t want their vital human rights dependent on subservience to antiquated, meaningless customs. YES.

Their most recent newsletter features an awesome recipe from me you can get by donating to them. It’s peanut butter brownies with chocolate ganache frosting, yo—donate!

“Fight discrimination, & eat dessert too!
The owners of Lagusta’s Luscious (a gourmet vegan meal service) are celebrating 11 years as unmarried partners and 4 years as AtMP members.

Lagusta says “I’m glad groups like AtMP are out there to give me good info I can use to gently argue with people who say they are only getting married for tax benefits!”

To encourage more people to join her in supporting the only national nonprofit dedicated to fairness and equality for all unmarried people, Lagusta wrote a unique, easy recipe for peanut butter brownies with chocolate ganache frosting.

Just click this Donate Now button, and we’ll send you the recipe as thanks for your gift!”

Thanks for the call out for Somehow I’d missed them, even though I’ve been a little obsessed with anti-marriage efforts, revived by all the prop 8 b.s. Queers are forgetting everything they’ve fought for and forged in favor of looking like everybody else, and it makes me so so tired…

Anyhow, I’ve enjoyed finding your blog, and knowing we’re Hudson Valley neighbors.

I just found this post (linked to your most recent). I adore this organization. What a great fundraising idea.
